Artist Statement: The blocks in this quilt are based on the fault patterns that form the uplifted mountain ranges and down-dropped valleys in the Basin and Range province of the Western US. Blue skies, red rocks, dry river valleys, and petroglyphs inspired the color choices and the quilting lines.
