Artist Statement:

It's often the shape of a curvy vase,
Or the glance at the side of a friendly face.
It's tall and it's short, squatty or thin, But it never reveals to you what's within.

Materials & Techniques: The simple undulating shapes please me while I am cutting them out free-hand from hand-dyed cotton fabrics. The machine quilting follows the shape to further move the eye thru the color field. The embroidery adds to the texture.
