Artist Statement: By all accounts, Frank Lloyd Wright was very particular about his designs, even going so far as to design furniture to bring the desired look to his homes. He may not approve of having his stained glass windows being turned into quilts nor of finding a Monarch butterfly perched on one of them. That could be enough to cause some turning in the grave. This piece was made especially for the butterfly, orphaned when rejected by another quilt.
