Artist Statement: Rich and colorful life exists just below the surface, in the upper levels of the sea. Visiting briefly, we glimpse a complex, interdependent world, moving to its own rhythms, ancient and eternal. In each piece that I create, I strive to enhance my own unique style, to grow in my awareness of who I am, and how my values and personal qualities shape my experience of life. This self discovery becomes the starting point for the next piece.

Artist Bio: An accomplished quilter since 1985, Linda began her career using traditional designs. In the early 90's, she began selling custom designed quilts to private collectors, teaching quilting classes, and experimenting with original design art quilts. Linda's current style features irregularly shaped fabric peices, hand cut without patterns, and raw edged collage. Reflecting on her career, Linda says, "The creative process transforms me. It enables me to experience life more fully, with sharper awareness and deeper appreciation. My e-mail signature reflects my feelings: Take creative risks, life will be full of energy."
