Artist Statement: Floral yukata cottons inspired this comfort quilt. Made for a friend debilitated by a brain aneurysm, I had to make it in record time. Hence it's my first major piece finished with free-motion stitching.

Materials & Techniques: Vintage Japanese yukata cottons, DMC machine embroidery threads, silk batting.
